Craig Smith: A Northwest Top Fuel Champion Ready to Roll

Craig Smith began his racing career in a Chevy powered dragster before competing in the Top Alcohol Dragster class at both NHRA and AHRA events. In 1987 Craig won the AHRA World Championship at his home town track in Spokane, Washington. Craig won the title two more years before moving to the "Kings of the Sport" Top Fuel Dragsters in 2000.
Craig captured the drag racing world's attention in 2001 when he went all the way to the final round of the NHRA National Event in Phoenix driving a Top Fuel car sponsored by Pioneer Car Stereo. He ended the season winning the AHRA World Championship for the first time in Top Fuel.
"close" to home in 2007 and 2008. Currently, Craig still has everything ready to go at a moments notice. Craig's desire is to get back out there and compete with the best in the sport when the economic climate improves.
